Well for sure I am not the only one who sets goals at the start of the year. We call them "New Year's Resolution". As I look over the internet for the meaning of the word resolution, I found that it is the act of resolving or determining upon an action, course of action, method, procedure, etc. Did you understand that? I seriously don't. But one word caught my attention and that's ACTION. How many goals did we set only to find ourselves unaccomplished at the end of the year? I did it over and over again too. Goals like I wanted to lose weight and eat healthy (this is the hardest of all the goals because I love junk foods haha!) sometimes just remain a goal. So how can this year be different from the other years?
I am renting a room in Buendia and I realized it's so much harder this year since I am surrounded by fast foods and we don't have a kitchen where I can cook or prepare healthier foods. I also stopped at the gym since I was very busy with work and my online business. So yes, the struggle is REAL.
If you're in the same situation, well it's not good that we are on the same page. But hey, this doesn't mean we should quit now and just let it be.
As I said earlier, I gave up working out so I can do my work and my business at the same time. Last December 2016 I realized I had to give up one. I had to choose between my work and my business. Well many were shocked when I chose to do my business. Yes, I resigned and it's effective this January! I couldn't be more happy. Crazy right? Yes it is a crazy decision. I am an internal auditor by the way. I passed the CPA board exam but here I am doing business instead of working as an accountant or an auditor. This sounds a crazy idea but I am not the first person to do this and it is the smartest decision I have made yet. Now I can have more time for myself. I have a lot of time for work outs and to me being healthy is so much more important.
Exercising is just 30%. Of course the remaining 70% is my diet. What I eat is still the most important. As I said earlier, I love eating junk foods. My life is not complete without it! So this became my first goal: NO TO JUNK FOODS. Oh you better do the same if you really want to be healthy. These junk foods are damn delicious but it is not helping your body in any way! So quit it! As they say, EAT BETTER and FEEL BETTER. So think before you EAT! :) I am very happy that now I get to control myself when it comes to eating junk foods. Before, I purposely go to stores just to buy Doritos and the like. Now, I am over it! Yes! I also love sweets and I know many of you can relate to this, but now, I have limited myself in eating chocolates. Our family has history of diabetes and the best way to prevent it is to control my cravings! Glad I did it. If I can, you do it too! Keep thinking about the bad effects it could cause to you before eating it, for sure it will help you stop from eating the unhealthy foods.
To end my first blog, I just want to say that there's no better time to start but today! If you're planning to be more healthy, do it now! There's no tomorrow. You have to start. Love yourself. Take good care of your body. Start this year right by eating healthy. Lastly, take supplements too. Well, I have been using supplements since 2015 and it has changed my life. I had problems with my thyroid back then, but now, my thyroid function is normal! I am not having palpitations anymore and I feel so much better than I was without supplements.
